Unbiased look at the Sint Maarten Elections
PHILIPSBURG--A joint venture agreement was signed on Wednesday, May 6, in Dr. A.C. Wathey Legislative Hall of the Government Administration Building in Philipsburg by the main partners of the fourteenth St. Martin/St. Maarten Annual Regional Tradeshow (SMART) scheduled to be held Sonesta Maho Beach Resort and Casino May 13-15.
The agreement was signed in the presence of St. Martin Tourism Office President Jeanne Rogers-Vanterpool; St. Maarten Minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transport and Telecommunications Claret Connor; French-side Hoteliers Association (AHSM) President Maurice Perrinmaréchal; and St. Maarten Hospitality and Trade Association (SHTA) President Keith Graham.
"SMART has become the most important tradeshow of the Northeastern Caribbean region and has established itself amongst professionals as a major annual event and a unique opportunity to discover or rediscover our destination, its hosting abilities, its range of activities and innovations of both sides of our island," St. Martin Tourism Office noted in a release.
"For this 14th edition SMART will host tourism professionals from the USA, Canada and Europe. The latter will discover the recently opened Sonesta Ocean Point Resort where the opening ceremony will be held."
The closing night for SMART will be held at Beach Plaza Hotel on the French side on Thursday, May 14.
