Unbiased look at the Sint Maarten Elections
PHILIPSBURG, St. Maarten - The level of concern with developments taking place at NIPA, the National Institute for Professional Advancement, is high.
Information reaching our newsroom paints a picture of conflict at the institution at a time when the institute is trying to move forward and attract more students. The conflict is said to exist between the board of the Institute which is headed by Drs. Marcella Hazel and Mr. Vernon Richards the Director.
The Minister of Education the Honorable Rita Bourn –Gumbs is said to be aware of the problem and so too is MP Christopher Emmanuel. He is calling on the Minister to swiftly handle the problem before it gets worse. But just what is this problem.
One source states that the main problem is that the Director Vernon Richards is not being allowed to carry out his function without the intervention and manipulation of the board.
The latest example being identified is the disagreement surrounding an invitation list for the private Open House of NIPA on Thursday.
On Friday NIPA will be holding the Open House for the general public between the hours of 11am and 2pm. More now via PodCast.
