Unbiased look at the Sint Maarten Elections
The sale of the Economic Rights of the Government leased land cost Maria Buncamper Molanus her seat as Minister early 2011. Maria Buncamper was the Minister of Health, Labor and Social Affairs, she was forced to resign from when she was faced with a motion of non-confidence. The Buncampers waited for five years to get answers from the prosecutor's office on whether or not they would prosecute the ousted Minister. In 2014 Maria Buncamper Molanus ran on the United Peoples Party slate, just after postulation she took the prosecution to court for them to render a decision on whether or not they will prosecute the couple. The case which sat at the prosecutor's office for over over years only jump started when the prosecution informed the judge that they will prosecute the case and asked for time to do so. During the last hearing the attorney representing the Buncampers called several witnesses, including the notary, the owner of ECO Green who now say that the company belonged to the Buncampers and that he was only fronting for them.
