Unbiased look at the Sint Maarten Elections
Frank Mingo (68) passed away at 11.50pm on Friday night, August 14, 2015 at a hospital in Medellin, Colombia.
Mingo was a former Minister of Finance of the Netherlands Antilles from 1999 to late 2000. He also served as a Senator in the former Parliament of the Netherlands Antilles.
Mingo was also a well-known businessman in the Sint Maarten community in the LPG cooking gas field as well as a real estate developer.
Born in Aruba on February 2, 1947, and raised in Sint Maarten, Frank Mingo attended school in Aruba and continued to the Netherlands to further his studies. Frank Mingo returned to Sint Maarten where he got involved in business, education and politics. Mingo was an educator at the Milton Peters College (MPC).
Besides his son at Port St. Maarten, Mr. Mingo leaves to mourn Brian Mingo, Chief Operations Officer at the TelEm Group of Companies and daughter Civil Law Notary Marlene Mingo.
