Rotary has dedicated resources and energy toward the eradication of polio worldwide since 1978. Recently Nigeria has been deemed polio free leaving only two more endemic countries in the world, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Our District has contributed significantly towards this international project and this effort was led by Rotarian Ramesh who encouraged all clubs in the Caribbean and America to contribute.
His efforts did not go unnoticed as the District named the polio collection posthumously after him and he was also given an award by the District Governor.
