Unbiased look at the Sint Maarten Elections
PHILIPSBURG, St. Maarten - The University of St Martin’s School of Continuing Education & Lifelong Learning (SCELL) and Telem’s Fiber Optic Training Certification course commenced on Tuesday April 5th 2016 and is a big success.
The training is facilitated by professional, certified Light Brigade instructors, the company is based out of Washington State, Washington. Light Brigade offers certification for all trainings.
The training established a great partnership between Telem and The University of St. Martin.
SCELL was the direct auspice that planned, organized and orchestrated the successful training opportunity. The following members of both organizations commenced on the Training opening day to celebrate the successful, collaborative event.
In attendance were members of the USM Board, President Valarie Giterson-Pantophlet, Vice President, Wycliffe Smith and Marcella Henry, Telem representatives included, Helma Etnel, The Chief Financial Officer of Telem, Shadira Lont, Human Resources Manager and members of the USM Management Team, President of USM, Dr. Francio Guadeloupe and SCELL Director, Dr. Natasha J. Gittens.
The training for FTTx for Installers and Technicians filled quickly with no available seats currently open.
The four-day course focuses on the valuable skills required to install, test, and troubleshoot PON and active Ethernet FTTx systems according to ITU, IEEE, and SCTE standards. Students will perform bidirectional testing, WDM testing, and splitter testing.
FTTx OSP Design will be held on April 11th, 12th and 13th from 7:30am to 5:00pm.
The three-day training will allow attendees to create their own FTTx network designs in classroom breakout sessions, applying the learned objectives to distributed split, centralized split, home run, and point-to-point systems.
SCELL will be hosting (2) additional Installer and Technician trainings scheduled for: April 19-22, Cost $2500.00, registration deadline, April 18. May 10- 13, $2500.00, registration deadline May 9.
