Unbiased look at the Sint Maarten Elections
PHILIPSBURG, St. Maarten - “There is no fundamental difference between the Democratic Party, the United People’s party and the United St. Maarten Party as far as their ideology is concerned†stated former Minister of VSA, the number five candidate on the slate of the USP, Maria Buncamper Molanus.
The former member of the Democratic Party and the United People’s party, now member of the USP was at the time responding to a question put to her regarding she leaving the UP to join the USP.
Speaking during the Lady Grace Morning Show “The Breakfast Lounge†earlier this week, Buncamper Molanus noted that the step for her was easy, as she did not have to review what she stands for.
She remarked: “What I stand for they stand for.
So now it’s a matter of, is this a group of people that I can see myself going into Parliament and doing the people’s business with? And I sit here today, the answer is yes. This is a group of people that I feel I can do so, and more so, that value my input.â€
