Unbiased look at the Sint Maarten Elections
PHILIPSBURG, St. Maarten - With the 2nd Caribbean Technology in Education Conference & EXPO 2016 on its way, the organizing committee is inviting interested persons and businesses to be presenters of workshop sessions or exhibitors of their company’s products.
C-TEC and EXPO 2016 is calling on all local tech savvy St. Maarten people to showcase and share their knowledge in their area of expertise. This is a professional development opportunity that will shine on your CV or resume.
C-TEC and EXPO 2016 organizers are especially looking for subject area teachers who can demonstrate how technology is revolutionizing their discipline.
The C-TEC 2016 conference program, will feature local, regional and international educators addressing the integration of technology in classrooms, including latest trends in the areas of blended learning, social media, STEM education and other topics through cutting-edge sessions.
The visions and experiences shared through this program empower attendees with the knowledge to stay at the forefront of innovative education and use the experience in their own classrooms and schools.
The C-TEC 2016 committee is of the opinion that a blend of local and international speakers and businesses will display the best of the best, combining local and international expertise. The organizers are looking forward to have at least 2 local presenters/educators per St. Maarten school. The aim is to have a 50-50 % balance for the conference sessions.
For the EXPO local businesses and stores with a connection in the Technology, Telecommunication and related fields, are encouraged to take part in this event. They can market their business, promote their products and even do some sales.
With Black Friday and Christmas coming up soon after the conference and EXPO, this will be a great opportunity. As space is limited to 20 booths, exhibitors are asked to register as soon as possible.
In addition to the attendance of approximately 1,000 educators, school board, managers and policy makers, there will also be an Open House for the general public adding to the total number of visitors.
A number of visitors from the neighboring island are expected to attend the Conference and Expo as well.
The costs for a single 10’x10†foot booth are USD 500 and will allow businesses to market, promote and sell on Sunday, October 23rd from 1-5 and on Monday and Tuesday, October 24th and 25th from 10am-3pm.
The EXPO will be held at the Asha Stevens Hillside Christian School, first floor. The workshop sessions will take place on the second floor of said school and at NIPA, St. Maarten’s latest state of the art building offering advanced vocational education programs.
