Legal and technical advice being sought says, PM Jacobs. , Aurora InfoTech report below.~

PHILIPSBURG:--- Prime Minister Silveria Jacobs confirmed on Wednesday at the weekly press conference that the government intends to move ahead with its plans to have an Independent Temporary Manager installed AT NV GEBE with a crisis management team pending an independent investigation.

Prime Minister Jacobs said that the Aurora InfoTech report was submitted the day before she attended the public meeting of parliament. She said she was unable to fully read the report and she was also unable to get technical advice on the report on time.

Jacobs said that her government will continue with due diligence and take its corporate responsibility very seriously. This she said is to give support and ensure the stability of the company and its viability for the future.
Jacobs said many of the actions to be undertaken cannot be discussed in a public forum. However, she assured that the necessary steps will be taken for the future and viability of the company.

Asked by SMN News if the government abandon the plans she announced to parliament. Jacobs said that the intentions of the shareholder remain intact. She said the government is executing its due diligence by following the civil code, articles of incorporation, and corporate governance, this she said is to avoid missteps that may later lead to repercussions.

Jacobs said that government gets the Aurora InfoTech report however as shareholders they are busy seeking technical advice. She said with the questions posed by members of parliament she would need more corroborating evidence before relaying the information to parliament. I cannot go to parliament with information shown to me in a presentation or have said to me, thus I am seeking technical advice on the report submitted to the shareholder.

SMN News learned that NV GEBE contracted Aurora InfoTech for a whopping $1.5M after the so-called black byte attack on March 16th, 2022. Sources say the company was paid more than half the amount while the data recovered is not usable. The hackers had demanded $2M, yet the Temporary Managers of NV GEBE opted to go along with a company to recover its data knowing fully well that they had no backups of their server in the cloud, while they did not see the need to have cyber security insurance in place.

SMN News also learned that the Temporary Managers also sought out a second report from the Australian company that assisted in recovering the data but that report was not submitted to the shareholder.
Asked about that second report Jacobs said she does not have any knowledge of the second report.
While the Aurora InfoTech report is kept top secret, SMN News learned the report is very damning and that the GEBE IT department lost its data when they reset the firewalls and attempted to reinstall the servers.
