Unbiased look at the Sint Maarten Elections
PHILIPSBURG, St. Maarten - The Audi brand is now available on St. Maarten. Audi officially opened their doors on Friday evening with a large group of family, Friends and government officials from both French and Dutch as well as officials of the Audi brand in attendance.
Chairman of the board Imrand MacSood gave some history about the process that led up to the brand now being established on the island.
He also spoke about the hard work that went into the process, for which he gave special thanks to his son Tariq Amjad.
Apart from hard work he also spoke about the quality that Audi brings to a quality island such as St. Maarten and the service that will be afforded to the clients.
Mr. Martin Port the Regional Manager for Audi stated that they are happy to be working with Caribbean Auto in making the Audi brand on St. Maarten a reality.
The growth in the region is up by three percent and in 2015 it is expected that the growth will continue and that Audi St. Maarten will also be a part of that growth.
The hardest working man in the car business Mr. Tariq Amjad, heaped a lot of praise on the Logistics Manager of Audi St. Maarten Mr. Dillon Smith for the dedication and hard work that was put into bringing the Audi brand to the island.
According to Mr. Amjad, it took them three years to bring the brand here.
Minister of Economic Affairs among other portfolios the Honorable Claret Connor, congratulated the Amjad family and St. Maarten.
He spoke about the infrastructure that St. Maarten boasts that will also compliment the Audi brand.
Meanwhile Prime Minister the Honorable Marcel Gumbs stated that Audi being here on the island has made the islands position as a luxury brand a reality. He is now looking forward to the accomplishments of the Audi brand in this corner of the Region.
The curtains came down on the official opening ceremony for the Audi brand on the island Friday with the giving of the vote of thanks which was given by Rena Amjad.
