PHILIPSBURG:--- On Saturday, January 28, 2017, National Institute of Arts will present a free circus act performance at the Gym Hall at the Asha Stevens Christian Hillside School in Cay Hill. The Free performance is to show case the talents of Olga Subbota and partner Alexse, two international circus performers who will offer circus genre classes at the National Institute of Arts.

This collaboration between NIA and Olga Entertainment Agency is new partnership to create and expand the creative expressive opportunities for St.Maarten’s children.

Island Gems Charity Foundation Donated A Large Freezer

Island Gems Charity Foundation recently donated a large freezer to the Hope Outreach Foster Home Foundation. Antonia Hodge of the home, was approached by Island Gems about the immediate needs of the foster home. A freezer was high on the list, and that was bought by the charity foundation.

Island Gems raises funds for projects such as this at its annual costume gala. This year’s gala is set for Saturday, April 8, at Captain Oliver’s restaurant. Tickets cost US $125 each and are available from all Island Gems members Read more
