PHILIPSBURG:--- Following last weeks media reports that the Point Blanche Prison Inmates Association expressed its concerns about the health conditions at the institution, United St. Maarten Party (USP) Members of Parliament (MPs) Akeem Arrindell and Claudius Toontje Buncamper sent a letter to Justice Minister Anna Richardson on Monday, requesting clarification on the concerns brought forward by the Inmates Association.

31 New Recovered Covid-19 Cases

~ Now 246 active cases ~

PHILIPSBURG--St. Maarten has recorded 31 newly-recovered COVID-19 cases as of Wednesday, August 26, reducing the total active cases to 246.

A total of 24 new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded. The new total of confirmed cases is 442.

Prison Gets New Locks
