Bicycle Treasure Hunt
On Sunday June 7th between 09.00 a.m. and 12.00 p.m. a “bicycle treasure hunt†organized by the “Strive 2 Thrive Foundation†will be held in the area of Bellevedere for children between the age groups of 4-9 years and 10-14 years old.On Wednesday June 3rd a meeting with Ms. M. Lake-Bass representing the “Strive 2 Thrive Foundation†and representatives of the Police Force was held at the Philipsburg Police Station was held to discuss the route and the safety and security of the event.The starting point of this event for the age group 10-14 years old will be at the Iguana Park/Lucian bar on the Oyster Pond road and turning right onto the Bishop Hill road, making two laps around the Tata the Bus driver Round About and then making a right towards French Quarter followed by a right turn into Golden Grove Estate Road and then making another right turn onto Sugar Mill Estate Road and stop at the Ephesus Seventh Day Adventist Church where the age group from 4 to 9 years old will join the older group and start the “ bicycle treasure huntâ€. The event will have a large amount of young children riding through the streets of Bellevedere between the hours mentioned.Police officers and volunteers will be regulating and directing traffic during this event. The event may also cause minor traffic delays. The police department is therefore asking all drivers to take good note of this information, use alternative routes to come and go to their destination and give all necessary cooperation to make this event a safe and successful one.
