The Police Department announces the following road closures.

>PHILIPSBURG:--- In connection with work which has to be carried out at Joe’s Jewelry on Wilhelmina straat on Friday June 26th 2015, this road will be closed to motor vehicle traffic from 05.30 a.m. to 07.00 a.m.In connection with a public event that will be held on Sunday June 28th 2015 from 11.00 a.m. to 05.30 p.m., at the Risen Christ Catholic Church on Carrot road in Reward, this road will be closed to all motor vehicle traffic. In connection with celebration of Emancipation Day organized by the Department of Culture the following:The event will start on Tuesday June 30th at Diamond Estate at 10.00 p.m. to July 1st at 03.00 a.m. followed by a church service at 09.00 a.m.Wreath laying at 10.00 a.m. at the One Tete Lockhay round-a-bout followed by the Freedom Fighters round-a-bout.A parade will start at 02.30 p.m. at Marigot Hill road through Lemon road-Genip road-Water Melon road- L.B. Scot road and ending at the Emilio Wilson Estate.In connection with construction work to be carried out on Little Bay road, this road will be partially closed on July 1st from 08.00 p.m. to 09.00 p.m.All drivers should take keen note of these road closures to avoid any inconvenience and should use alternative routes to get to their destination.
