>PHILIPSBURG:---- Prime Minister Hon.
Marcel Gumbs
attended the oath-taking ceremony at the Governor’s Cabinet on Friday for the first-Sint Maarten born Cardiologist Emiko Bird-Lake.
In the presence of her mother, Veronica Lake, and the husband of Emiko Bird-Lake, the oath was administered by Acting Governor His Excellency Reynold Groeneveldt.

“I am very proud of Emiko Bird-Lake, being the first born Sint Maartener Cardiologist of the country. She is a role model for our young people. Hard work and determination will allow you to achieve what you set out in life.
“As Acting Minister of Public Health, it was a great opportunity to be present to witness this proud moment on behalf of the Council of Ministers and the people of Sint Maarten. I take this opportunity to congratulate her parents, husband and her family circle on this great achievement,†Prime Minister Hon.
