>PHILIPSBURG;---- Prime Minister
Marcel Gumbs
, has forwarded a letter to the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica Hon. Roosevelt Skerrit expressing condolences to the people and Government of Dominica with respect to the damage left behind by Tropical Storm Erika.
“On behalf of the Government and the people of Sint Maarten, I would like to express my heartfelt affections to you and the people of Dominica after the passing of Tropical Storm Erika.
“As West Indians, we have become accustomed to and shown great resilience in the face of such natural disasters, but from a human perspective, and even more so as a Prime Minister, the loss of our citizens is never an event for we are really ever prepared.
“I offer my solidarity and hopes for a quick recovery and a stronger Dominica,â€
