French Quarter and Sandy Ground, both considered priority areas in the new City contract, have successfully hosted the two days of information with record attendance.
The Collectivite agreed to invest 2 million euros this year in which the European Social Fund (ESF) in vocational training funds 85%. Since 2012, the partnership of the vocational training is widely developed to allow many job seekers (30% of the working population) to find a job easily.
This year, the Collectivite offers 27 different courses with fifteen seats each, more than 400 seats in total. After previous studies, the training program was adapted to the needs of the territory. Restaurant, construction and boating are the main industries. These academic courses are coupled with internships in companies.
