Unbiased look at the Sint Maarten Elections
PHILIPSBURG, St. Maarten - The parliament of St. Maarten gave the Marcel Gumbs cabinet a motion of no-confidence on Wednesday afternoon.
The motion was read by the leader of the DP Sarah Wescot-Williams. The motion was supported by 8 votes for and 7 against.
This means that the majority of Parliament no longer supports the government of St. Maarten.
Supporting the motion from the qurters of the UP were MP's Silvio Matsur and Maurice Lake. The motion was also supported by Independent MP Frans Richardson.
