Unbiased look at the Sint Maarten Elections
PHILIPSBURG:---The meeting called on Tuesday to appoint a new chairperson and vice chairpersons was close abruptly by the second vice chairperson Cornelius de Weever who chaired the meeting Tuesday morning. The meeting was opened shortly after 9am by the second vice chair. After a moment of silence MP De Weever then announced that two Members of Parliament submitted their notification of absence. The chair then stated that everyone knows that the Prime Minister of St. Maarten has submitted a resolution to dissolve the Parliament of St. Maarten and based on article 37 he closed the meeting.
