Amendment to budget approved, Vorst Property out of 2014 Budget.

>PHILIPSBURG:--- The long awaited budget amendments to the 2014 budget were approved unanimously on Monday by the Members of Parliament that attended the meeting. However, Member of Parliament

submitted a motion to amend the budget amendments to remove the purchasing of the Vorst property. The motion submitted by MP
Roy Marlin
was accepted with seven votes in favor of the removal of the purchasing of the Vorst property while six members all from the UPP voted against the motion. Approved by the Parliament of St. Maarten is the Emilio Estate.

also submitted two other motions to Parliament which were accepted unanimously. The two motions submitted by MP Marlin were to establish a dispute committee which each of the countries could consult with when the Kingdom makes any decision that will affect any of the overseas countries.
The motions that were submitted stemmed from a tripartitie meeting that was held by the three countries who decided that the Kingdom cannot do what they so please with the overseas countries within the Kingdom.
