Unbiased look at the Sint Maarten Elections
On Sunday the President of the First Chamber of the Dutch Parliament along with support staff will be arriving in transit to the island of St. Eustatius. The complete delegation will return to Sint Maarten on October 21st.
On Tuesday, October 21st, the Dutch parliamentary delegation will pay a courtesy visit to His Excellency Governor Eugene Holiday, followed by a visit to the Council of Ministers and then to the House of Parliament.At the House of Parliament, the delegation will receive a tour of the facility and thereafter they will be joined by the President and Members of the House for lunch.
On Tuesday afternoon the delegation will also receive a tour of the Court House.
This visit of the Dutch Presidents of Parliament is based on an invite extended by the Presidents of Parliament of Aruba, Curacao and Sint Maarten.
Accompanying the Dutch Second Chamber of Parliament President is Secretary General J.E. Biesheuvel-Vermeijden, Secretary General Kingdom Relations Second Chamber of Parliament, T.N.J. de Lange and Spokesperson L.C. Konings.
President Hon. Anouchka van Miltenburg was elected on 25 September, 2012 as president of the Second Chamber. She has been a member of the Second Chamber since 2003.
