PHILIPSBURG:--- The Minister of VSA Richard Panneflek signed off on the much needed Ministerial Decree that would authorize USZV to begin making the stimulus payout especially the long-awaited payroll support.Minister Panneflek said in an invited comment to SMN News that he received the documents on Monday and he sent it off to Legal Affairs for perusal. He said the document returned on Tuesday with comments which had to be addressed. The Minister said on Tuesday his legal team in the Ministry of VSA perused the document further and he was able to sign off on the decree today Wednesday, May 13th. Panneflek said that he understands the need of the population and as such did everything that had to be done legally before signing off on the decree.Minister of Finance Ardwell Irion told reporters on Wednesday during the Council of Ministers press briefing that the delay on the payout was due to the fact that the Minister of VSA did not sign off on the Ministerial Decree.Ardwell said persons who lost income will get NAF 1, 150.00 as income support, he said so far 700 employers requested the payroll support and that covers over 8000 employees.
