Unbiased look at the Sint Maarten Elections
PHILIPSBURG, St. Maarten - Formateur the Honorable MP Theo Heyliger on Tuesday made clear that the task given to him by the Governor of St. Maarten is still ongoing and he has not finalized the names of candidate Ministers to present to the Governor.
MP Heyliger's statement was in reaction to speculative media reports published on Tuesday which mentioned names of private individuals.
He said publicly mentioning individual names without confirmation puts the individuals mentioned in awkward personal positions.
MP Heyliger explained that due diligence is being followed and coalition partners are being consulted in the yet to be finalized process to identify the candidate Ministers.
The media and the public will be advised accordingly once the process is complete and the list of candidate Ministers presented to the Governor.
