Unbiased look at the Sint Maarten Elections
SIMPSON BAY--The book Welkom op Sint Maarten: The Friendly Island is now among the country's top five travel guides thanks to a list compiled by Website
stmaartenvakantie.nl . The book is noted as worthwhile to read and to take on vacation to the Dutch Caribbean.
The Dutch language book was launched internationally last year with a limited edition presented to then-Prime Minister Sarah Wescot-Williams by authors Ina Kruize, Esther de Vries and Marlene van Asten.
The book informs people who are moving to St. Maarten, such as expatriates and trainees, in a practical way and gives information about the island. The book also proved to be attractive for people visiting the island.
With the upcoming St. Maarten Heineken Regatta, Van Dorp Bookstores in Madame Estate and Simpson Bay, and Shipwreck Shop on Front Street have decided to celebrate the top five listing with a special offer of the book for US $25, instead of usual price of $35. The promotion is valid for residents and visitors.
The authors HOPE to publish the second edition of the book at the end of the year. They thanked readers for tips and updates on information on St. Maarten already received. These will be included in the second edition.
