SMN News contacted the Captain of the Gendarmerie Sylvain Jouault who also confirmed that the President of the Collectivity was a victim of aggression Friday morning. He said the suspect is well known to the community and he was arrested by the Police Territorial and later handed over to the Gendarmerie who placed the suspect in "Garde a Vue" Jouault said that the gendarmes will also have the person analyzed by a psychiatrist and or phycologist to determine if the person is in his right mind this he said will be part of the ongoing investigation. Jouault further stated that the Gendarmerie will not make any further statements but they will leave that to the press service of the Collectivity.
Aggression of the President
The President of the Collectivity Aline Hanson was victim of an aggression on Friday morning. An individual was waiting for her at her parking space, in possession of a bladed weapon, and damaged her physical integrity. The intervention of the territorial police helped to end this sudden and violent attack. President Aline Hanson was immediately taken to the doctor, then to the gendarmerie, where she filed a complaint. Her physical condition shows a few hematoma (bruises) at the level of her hand.The gendarmerie and the territorial police intervened efficiently. The investigation will have to determine the exact circumstances of the aggression, as well as the motivation of the individual.
