PHILIPSBURG:--- The St. Maarten Tzu Chi Foundation started off the Chinese New Year on a positive note donating 260 packages to recipients at its Chinese Lunar Year-End Blessing Ceremony held at the Philipsburg Cultural and Community Center in January.

The 55 volunteers who participated in the event assisted in distributing the packages, each of which contained a box of multi-grain raisin almond cereal, a pack of Club Social biscuits, Nido milk powder, a bottle of jam, Chinese plum and mints.

Tzu Chi Spreads Holiday Cheer To 567 Families At Year End Blessing Event

PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten – The St. Maarten Tzu Chi Foundation helped brighten the holiday season for many, when it donated food and other items to in excess of 567 families, during its year end blessing event on December 15.

Each family received a pack of 10kg “Love Rice,” a polo shirt, a Crocs sandals, umbrella, kitchen grater, spray bottle and kitchen sponge amongst other items.

A total of 60 volunteers put their hearts and hands together to assist during this massive event.
