PHILIPSBURG:--- Minister of Education Youth and Culture Rodolphe Samuel announced on Wednesday at the Council of Ministers press briefing that two teachers have tested positive for the coronavirus at the Oranje School.
Minister Samuel said that CPS had recommended that the school be closed for two days, namely Monday and Tuesday for contacting tracing, however, CPS later recommended that the school remains closed for the next two weeks Read more

Real Madrid Foundation Football Clinic For Boys And Girls

CAYHILL, Sint Maarten — We are pleased to inform you that our organization FUNDACION REAL MADRID CLINICS DUTCH ANTILLES, together with the REAL MADRID FOUNDATION and our Local Partner Flames United FC, will be organizing a Real Madrid Foundation football clinic for boys and girls (6 till 13 years) between 19 and 23 of July this year on the friendly island of Sint Maarten.

The collaboration of our main sponsor Coca Cola (CC1 Sint Maarten) to provide opportunities to some 75 kids to participate in the Clinic.

Pm & Com Express Their Gratitude And Show Appreciation To All Support Professionals With Worksho-Vational Session

GREAT BAY, Sint Maarten (DCOMM) On Friday, April 23,theSint Maarten Government administrative support professionals were invited to a virtual worksho-vational session with the theme, A Decisive Administrative ProfessionalinAn Ambitious Country.

This theme was derived from one of the National Development Vision 2030, which Prime Minister (PM) Silveria Jacobs launched on July 16, 2020. 

The session, which was a hybrid of a workshop and motivational episodes, was facilitated by Thulani Munerenyu, a Human Capital Development Consultant of LILUVU Training and Consulting, a South African based company. 

The worksho-vational session was a way for the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers(COM) to express their gratitude and show appreciation to all support professionals especially during the COVID-19 Pandemic, where remote working was prevalent, the support role of these professionals had to evolve virtually, displaying their highly adaptive skills.

BELAIR, Sint Maarten On Sunday, March 7th, 2021, the Sint Maarten Sports and Olympic Federation held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Sports Conference (SC).
The event, which took place at the Belair Community Center and started shortly before 10 a.m. Sunday, attracted representatives from several sports organizations, including Swimming, Baseball, Basketball, Football, Fencing, Drag Racing, Auto Motor, Pool and Billiard, Judo and Cycling.

During the program, representatives of the SMSOF also observed a moment of silence for the island’s baseball legend, the late Etienne Albert Artsen, who passed away on Wednesday, December 16th, 2021.
