PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten – El presidente del Sindicato de Maestros de las Islas de Barlovento (WITU), Stuart Johnson, revel su posicin sobre las medidas de reduccin de costos propuestas que estn afectando a la clase trabajadora de St. Maarten.

“Parece que ha habido muchas discusiones y decisiones ad hoc, pero no hay un acuerdo consolidado con WITU”, dijo Johnson.

El presidente de WITU envi una carta dirigida a la Primera Ministra Silveria Jacobs en la que se describe la postura firme de WITU.

“Si bien aprecio que se mantenga el salario base de nuestros miembros y, por extensin, de todos los trabajadores involucrados, el hecho es que no tenemos un acuerdo slido sobre las otras propuestas”, dijo.
