Traffic measure implemented.

>PHILIPSBURG:--- On Thursday December 18th, 2014, a press briefing was organized between the Department of VROMI and the Police Department regarding traffic measures that will take place during the busy Christmas Holiday Season. The press briefing was held at the Philipsburg Police Station. These measures are to alleviate the serious traffic congestion that occurs during this period by creating better traffic circulation throughout the Philipsburg area.
Later during that evening between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. you could see police officers directing traffic on the Walter Nisbet road between the Salt Pickers round about (behind the police station) and the Freedom Fighters round about (next to Sundial School). The regulating of traffic was mainly to introduce drivers to the temporary lane on the Ring road that is available to drivers who want exit Philipsburg without any delay.
Thus far this traffic measure seems to be effective.
